Hi! I’m Aaron. I was born and raised in Brevard, NC and I grew up hiking, fishing and exploring the mountains of WNC. I thought about a career in Forestry but a chance meeting with a Hollywood cameraman deep in the wilderness of Montana 22 years ago started my training in the photo arts. I returned to Montana and schooled and worked under some legendary photographers.
I met and married my sweetheart Ericka in Montana and I photographed my first professional wedding there in 1997. We moved back to my hometown Brevard where we live a quiet and simple life out in the country with our dogs, cats and ducks. We both have learned American Sign Language and spend a huge part of our lives volunteering in the deaf community. We also can be found mountain biking and kayaking and usually our yellow lab Hobie is tagging along.
Hopefully my images speak for themselves regarding what I try to create but let me tell you a little about my approach .
I prefer images that are simple and pure. I use a classic style of editing where colors areleft natural and any treatment I add to a photo never goes beyond what can be done in a traditional darkroom. I love creating a shooting atmosphere where my couples can be themselves and have fun as we explore together. I love making epic images anywhere from desolate mountain peaks to elegant ballrooms. My photos are published in the most prestigious of all publications and that is the handmade books that proudly sit on coffee tables of my clients through out the country and beyond.

"Thank you so much! These photos are incredible. We could not have asked for a better photographer to capture the spirit of our wedding. We've laughed so hard, and reminisced and LOVED every photo. Thank you SO much, and we can't wait to see more. Thank YOU for being such an integral part of our day!"
