FAQ
1. Why do you accept a relatively small number of weddings per year?

I find that in order to have passion in my work and to give attention to each wedding, including editing the images and designing the books myself, I need to accept a limited amount of wedding commissions.

2. Speaking of editing what is your process and style?

I learned photography before the age of digital imaging, so I still prefer vibrant but natural color images and strong contrasty black and white. I do not add trendy "instagram" type filters that alter the color of the images. I edit each photo one by one in my home office. I also offer optional touch up services for blemish removal, background object removal, etc.

3. How are my images delivered to me?

Each wedding or portrait session has a private gallery with all the images for viewing or ordering prints. Wedding images are also delivered via flash drive to the couple for safekeeping.

4. Do you offer 2nd photographers?

I have photographed hundreds of weddings solo yet many of my couples choose to have a 2nd professional join me. I have a circle of like minded pros who also accept limited assignments and thus are free to add their talents to our day. All my 2nd shooters are seasoned pros who are true professionals.

5. Do you offer video?

Modern cameras have the ability to deliver high quality videos, so many photographers offer to add that service. I have found that mixing the two mediums ultimately means that one will suffer, so I strive to focus entirely on my art of still images. Also most photographers are not equipped to handle the tricky audio aspects of a wedding so something as simple as a stiff breeze can ruin the audio of an ill equipped photographer. I would be happy to recommend top notch videographers who likewise only focus on one art form.

6. How do we reserve our date?

After we have communicated and decided we are a good match, I require a signed contract as well as a deposit. Your date is then blocked off with the remainder of the balance due 14 days before the wedding. Once your date is secure I do not entertain other offers for the date.
